জনসাধারণের জন্য নতুন ভলান্টিয়ারি পেনশন এবং সেভিং প্রোগ্রাম চালুর ঘোষণা দিতে যাচ্ছে সৌদি আরব। দেশটির নাগরিকদের পাশাপাশি বিদেশি কর্মীরাও এ সুবিধা ভোগ করবেন।

মূলত, বিভিন্ন খাতের কর্মীদের গৃহস্থলী সঞ্চয় বাড়ানোর জন্য এই কর্মসূচি চালুর পরিকল্পনা করেছে সৌদি সরকার। নতুন এ কর্মসূচি বিদেশে কর্মীদের রেমিট্যান্স পাঠানোর প্রবাহ নিয়ন্ত্রণেও সহায়তা করবে বলে আশা করা হচ্ছে। শীঘ্রই জনসাধারণের জন্য এ পেনশন ও সঞ্চয় কর্মসূচি উন্মোচন করা হবে বলে ধারণা করা হচ্ছে।

প্রতিবেদন অনুযায়ী, সৌদি আরব থেকে বিভিন্ন দেশে রেমিট্যান্স পাঠানোর হার গত বছর ১৪ শতাংশ বেড়ে ১৪৪.২ বিলিয়ন সৌদি রিয়াল বা ৩৮.৪ বিলিয়ন ডলারে দাঁড়িয়েছে। গত এক দশকে (২০১৫–২০২৪) এর মোট পরিমাণ দাঁড়িয়েছে ১.৪৩ ট্রিলিয়ন রিয়াল। 


২০২৫ সালের প্রথম তিন মাসে সৌদি আরবে সামাজিক বীমা ব্যবস্থার আওতায় ১২.৮ মিলিয়ন গ্রাহক ছিলেন, যাদের মধ্যে ৭৭ শতাংশই ছিলেন প্রবাসী।

আইএমএফের প্রতিবেদনে বলা হয়েছে যে, সম্প্রতি বাস্তবায়িত পেনশন সংস্কার, যা ২০২৪ সালের জুলাইয়ে অনুমোদিত হয়েছে, তা দীর্ঘমেয়াদি আর্থিক স্থিতিশীলতা জোরদার করবে বলে আশা করা হচ্ছে। এসব সংস্কারের মধ্যে রয়েছে অবসরের বয়স বৃদ্ধি এবং পেনশন সুবিধায় সীমাবদ্ধতা আরোপ।


আসন্ন ভলান্টিয়ারি পেনশন ও সঞ্চয় কর্মসূচি সৌদি নাগরিক ও প্রবাসী উভয়ের জন্য উন্মুক্ত থাকবে। ফলে এই পদক্ষেপকে স্বাগত জানিয়েছে আইএমএফ।

According to the report, the number of remittances from different countries in the country increased by 14 percent last year to 144.2 billion model riyals or 38.4 billion market. The total for the last one (2015-24) was 1.43 trillion riyals. 


The social security system in the Arab world is expected to improve in the first three months of 2025. 


The IMF report said that the real pension, which ends in July 2024, is expected to strengthen the long-term financial situation. The only reforms include the imposition of a cap on previous increases and pension benefits. 


The upcoming voluntary pension and savings government pensions will be open to both citizens and expatriates. As a result, the IMF has welcomed this move.
